Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Dietitian, where your expertise will empower patients to achieve optimal health and wellness. In this vital role, you will assess individual nutritional needs, develop personalized care plans, and provide expert guidance across diverse clinical settings. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and identify specific dietary needs. Develop and implement tailored nutrition care plans that align with medical diagnoses, treatment goals, and patient preferences. Provide expert guidance on specialized nutrition therapies, including tube feeding, weight management, and dietary modifications for chronic conditions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless integration of nutritional interventions within overall treatment strategies. Offer health coaching to motivate patients towards healthier lifestyles, including weight loss programs and long-term dietary changes. Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations, adjusting care plans as needed based on diagnostic evaluations and clinical responses. Document all interventions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, maintaining detailed records of patient interactions and outcomes. Supervise dietetic interns or junior staff members, providing mentorship and oversight to foster professional development. Stay current with advancements in physiology knowledge, nutrition science, and hospital protocols to deliver evidence-based care across acute care, geriatrics, and long-term care settings. Experience Proven experience as a Registered Dietitian within hospital or healthcare environments, demonstrating familiarity with acute care and geriatrics. Strong background in nutrition therapy for diverse populations including long-term care residents and patients requiring specialized diets such as tube feeding. Supervising experience with dietetic interns or junior staff members is highly desirable. Extensive knowledge of physiology related to digestion, metabolism, and disease processes affecting nutritional needs. Hands-on experience utilizing EMR systems for documentation and care coordination. Demonstrated expertise in patient assessment techniques, diagnostic evaluation, and developing effective care plans. Prior involvement in weight loss programs or dietary management for chronic conditions such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease is advantageous. Familiarity with dietary department operations within hospital settings enhances ability to integrate nutritional services seamlessly into patient care workflows. $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
