Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic healthcare team. This vital role involves developing personalized nutrition care plans, conducting comprehensive patient assessments, and providing expert guidance to improve health outcomes in long-term care . Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and develop tailored care plans. Provide expert nutrition counseling, including weight management, disease-specific diets, and recovery support. Supervise dietary staff and oversee dietary department operations to ensure quality standards are met. Manage tube feeding protocols and perform diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition therapy. Collaborate with healthcare teams on care plans for patients with complex needs. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems efficiently to document assessments, interventions, and progress notes. Offer health coaching to empower patients in making sustainable lifestyle changes that support their health goals. Qualifications Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from an accredited program. Proven experience in hospital settings or long-term care facilities with a focus on geriatrics or acute care. Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, and dietetics principles. Experience supervising dietary staff and managing care plans for diverse patient populations. Familiarity with EMR systems and dietary management software. Knowledge of tube feeding procedures, weight loss strategies, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication abilities.
