Full Job Description Job Title:
Consultant Dietitian (16hours) We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Consultant Dietitian to join our team in Lancaster, CA. This position offers a flexible schedule. The ideal candidate will be experienced in long term care nutrition, specifically with expertise in assessing residents, reviewing tube feeding protocols, dialysis, wound care, and monitoring weight changes.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Assessments:
Conduct thorough nutrition assessments for residents, providing individualized care plans based on their needs.
Tube Feeding & Dialysis Reviews:
Evaluate and monitor tube feeding regimens and dialysis nutrition to ensure optimal care and outcomes.
Wound Care:
Provide nutrition support related to wound healing and recovery.
Weight Management:
Monitor and adjust nutrition plans to address significant weight changes and other related health concerns.
Attend Meetings:
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as needed to discuss patient care and nutrition-related issues. Kitchen Inspections (help available to guide you): Perform routine kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with dietary standards and safety regulations.
Independent Work:
Work autonomously with a go-getter attitude while maintaining an openness to learning and receiving guidance.
Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required. Strong clinical knowledge in areas such as tube feeding, dialysis, wound care, and weight management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with interdisciplinary teams. Ability to independently manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus, but not required.
