This role is ideal for an RD with strong one-on-one counseling experience and direct experience supporting patients in GLP-1 nutrition, medical weight loss, functional nutrition, metabolic health. IBG Nutrition is a patient-focused practice committed to providing personalized, high-quality integrative nutrition care. We are looking for a clinically strong, thoughtful, and highly communicative dietitian who can conduct nutrition assessments, identify patient needs, create customized nutrition plans, and adjust recommendations based on patient progress and outcomes. The right candidate should be a strong communicator, critical thinker, organized practitioner, and someone who actively keeps up with the latest nutrition research and applies it thoughtfully within patient care.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide nutrition counseling in accordance with IBG Nutrition guidelines and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and identify patients who may benefit from targeted nutrition intervention.
  • Develop personalized nutrition plans based on each patient's current health status, goals, medications, lifestyle, and metabolic needs.
  • Provide nutrition support for patients using GLP-1s, peptides, and medical weight-loss interventions.
  • Support patients with protein intake, appetite changes, hydration, side-effect management, body composition goals, and long-term maintenance strategies.
  • Implement personalized and goal-appropriate nutrition strategies through follow-up visits and ongoing patient communication.
  • Monitor patient progress, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Communicate with other care team members as appropriate.
Stay current with nutrition research, especially in areas related to GLP-1s, metabolic health, medical weight loss, functional nutrition, peptides, and personalized nutrition. Complete administrative duties related to patient caseload, documentation, scheduling coordination, and follow-up. Required Qualifications Must be a Registered Dietitian. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required. At least 1 year of one-on-one nutrition counseling experience required. Experience with GLP-1 patients required. Experience with medical weight loss, metabolic health required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving, organization, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to create practical, personalized nutrition plans. Comfort working with patients in a high-touch, patient-focused setting. licensed to work in New York and/or Connecticut, as applicable. Preferred Qualifications Women's health experience preferred. Nutrigenomics experience preferred. Body composition tracking and interpretation experience a plus. Experience with maintenance planning after active weight-loss phases a plus.
