Position Summary:
The Sr. Clinical Nutrition Specialist will serve as a clinical and scientific expert in medical nutrition therapy, supporting clinical development, clinical operations and medical affairs teams. This role will ensure that nutrition-related products, therapies, and educational materials are evidence-based, compliant, and aligned with current clinical guidelines. The Sr. Clinical Nutrition Specialist will act as a liaison between healthcare professionals, internal stakeholders, and external partners to provide diet monitoring training and oversight in clinical studies.Responsibilities:
Provides evidence-based nutrition expertise for clinical and scientific support of investigational products, particularly those related to metabolic disorders or medical nutrition therapy. Contributes to the development of clinical study protocols and study manuals such as site dietitian manual. Trains site dietitians on diet data entry and diet monitoring using specialized study tools and provides oversight of diet monitoring at clinical sites. Reviews and interprets complex clinical data related to diet management for reconciliation with clinical practice and to ensure scientific accuracy for publications. Develops and maintains tools and educational materials for healthcare providers, study participants, and internal teams and ensures all educational content aligns with current nutrition guidelines and regulatory standards.Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required, Master's degree preferred. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN, LDN) credentials preferred. Experience in metabolic disorders required. 3+ years of direct clinical experience required with some direct work experience with dietary management of inborn errors of metabolism (IEM) disorders required. Experience in clinical research, pharmaceutical industry, or medical nutrition therapy preferred.Additional Skills/Experience/Requirements:

Ability to travel 10 % domestic and internationally. All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.Target Base Pay Range:
$95,000.00- $124,000.00
