Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian for an exciting Travel or Local job in Sumter, SC. Responsibilities Conduct detailed nutritional assessments and screenings for adult patients in medical, surgical, and ICU settings. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and care plans. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families. Assess and manage enteral nutrition support for patients as appropriate. Assess and manage parenteral nutrition support for critically ill patients. Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition care plans as needed. Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Float to various adult acute care units as needed to support patient care and departmental coverage. Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based nutrition practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited program. Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Active South Carolina Dietetics License. Clinical experience in adult medical, surgical, and critical care/ICU units. Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and nutrition assessment. Willingness and flexibility to float to various adult units based on facility needs. Open to first-time travelers with strong relevant clinical experience.
