Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Child Nutritionist (Cook), where you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious, appealing meals tailored for children in educational or childcare settings. Duties Plan and prepare nutritious menus that meet dietary guidelines and cater to children's specific nutritional needs Cook a variety of healthy meals, snacks, and special dietary accommodations with precision and care Ensure food safety standards are consistently maintained during food handling, preparation, and serving processes Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including food storage, inventory management, and sanitation practices Collaborate with staff to coordinate meal schedules and assist in catering or special event food service when needed Use knife skills and culinary techniques to prepare ingredients safely and effectively for diverse recipes Serve meals in a friendly manner, encouraging positive eating experiences for children Requirements Proven experience in dietary departments, food preparation, or culinary roles within the food industry or restaurant settings Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety protocols Experience working as a dietary aide or in a child-focused food service environment is highly desirable Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques suitable for large-scale meal production Knowledge of food handling regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with staff and caregivers Embark on this rewarding journey where your culinary talents will directly impact children's health and happiness.
