Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department in providing comprehensive nutritional care within assisted living or healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of nutrition and physiology, and a passion for improving residents' quality of life through tailored dietary plans. As Dietary Manager, you will oversee meal planning, staff supervision, and compliance with health standards while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. Duties Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate patient assessments, medical diagnoses, and nutritional needs. Supervise dietary staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high-quality service delivery. Oversee meal preparation, ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines, safety standards, and residents' preferences. Manage the dietary department's budget, inventory control, and procurement processes to optimize resources. Coordinate with healthcare professionals to conduct diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition and tube feeding requirements. Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols across all dietary operations. Provide health coaching to residents or patients to promote healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices. Experience Proven management experience within a dietary or nutrition department in assisted living or healthcare environments. Demonstrated supervising experience with a focus on team leadership and staff development. Extensive knowledge of dietetics, physiology, nutrition science, and care planning processes. Familiarity with patient assessment techniques, tube feeding procedures, and diagnostic evaluation methods. Experience in budgeting, inventory management, and resource allocation within a dietary setting. Strong understanding of dietary restrictions, care plans, and specialized nutrition protocols for diverse populations. Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or similar settings is highly desirable.
