Summary:
The Clinical Dietitianserves as an expert in current medical nutrition therapy and works as part of an interdisciplinary team within Cook Children's Medical Center (CCMC). Provides nutrition intervention and education based on the goals, preferences, learning barriers, and readiness of the patient, family/caregivers, and staff. Provides professional guidance to in/outpatients, staff, outside agencies, students, and the community while maintaining patient confidentiality and honoring patient rights. Develops, verifies, and revises nutritional therapies to improve care and outcomes for patients and help CCMC achieve its goals and objectives.
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree required (Masters degree of Science preferred). Pediatric experience desired.
Certification/Licensure:
Must be registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration within six months Licensed by the State of Texas within four months of hire
