Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (shift pattern may change per director; no holidays, weekends, or after-hours)
Start Date:
June 1, 2026 (pending onboarding/compliance)
Compensation:
$45/hr
Summary:
Provide clinical nutrition services across the hospital: assess nutritional needs, develop and implement nutrition care plans, document recommendations, educate patients/families, and collaborate with the care team and Food Services to support patient outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics and/or Nutrition from an accredited institution Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Dietitians Valid Texas driver's license Minimum 2 years clinical dietitian experience Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification Strong verbal and written communication skills with physicians, staff, patients, and families Comply with agency/facility immunization, drug testing, fingerprinting, training, SOPs, and standards (Joint Commission, CMS, agency directives)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform nutrition assessments and establish individualized nutrition care plans Monitor and document patients' dietary intake, progress, and outcomes in the medical record Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families Consult with interdisciplinary treatment teams regarding nutrition needs and recommendations Author and enter appropriate nutrition-related orders and recommendations in medical records Approve patient menus and communicate requirements to the Food Services Director Ensure practice aligns with facility policies and regulatory standards
