Wellness Director | Integrative Nutrition & Functional Wellness Expert

Lead the Future of Community Wellness We are building a comprehensive community-based nutrition and wellness store in Texas, where food, nutrition, lifestyle, and education come together to help people take control of their health. We are seeking an experienced Wellness Director to lead our nutrition and wellness initiatives. This individual will become the primary wellness authority within our organization, helping customers, training staff, developing programs, and expanding our reputation as Parker County's trusted destination for integrative wellness. This role is ideal for someone who thinks beyond symptoms and understands how nutrition, lifestyle, genetics, sleep, stress, environment, and metabolic health work together to influence long-term wellness. This position provides wellness education and nutrition guidance. It does not diagnose medical conditions or practice medicine. Position Overview The Wellness Director will oversee the development of Clearfork Market's educational wellness programs while working directly with customers seeking practical guidance through food, nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle modification, and evidence-informed wellness strategies. This individual should have a deep understanding of functional nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, physiology, nutrigenomics, and integrative wellness models. The successful candidate enjoys solving complex health puzzles, educating others, and continually expanding their knowledge. Responsibilities Lead the development of Clearfork Market's wellness education programs. Provide one-on-one nutrition and wellness consultations. Develop personalized food and nutrition plans based on customer goals. Educate customers on whole-food nutrition and therapeutic dietary approaches. Provide guidance on dietary patterns including Mediterranean, Paleo, ketogenic, low-carbohydrate, autoimmune protocols, elimination diets, ancestral nutrition, plant-forward diets, and other evidence-informed approaches when appropriate. Help customers understand the role of lifestyle factors including: Nutrition Sleep Circadian rhythm Stress management Physical activity Environmental exposures Recovery Hydration Educate customers on the appropriate use of nutritional supplements. Develop comprehensive wellness protocols and educational resources. Train and mentor store associates in nutrition and supplement science. Develop workshops, seminars, community education classes, and wellness events. Create educational articles, videos, newsletters, and in-store materials. Build referral relationships with physicians, chiropractors, nutrition professionals, health coaches, and other licensed healthcare providers. Help position Clearfork Market as the regional leader in natural health education. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Health Sciences, Biology, Exercise Physiology, Public Health, or related field preferred. Professional certifications and experience in the field are highly valued, including: Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) Board Certified Health Coach Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach Integrative Health Practitioner Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner Nutrition Therapy Practitioner Certified Clinical Nutritionist (where applicable) Other nutrition or wellness credentials Equivalent experience with demonstrated expertise may also be considered. Leadership Responsibilities Lead the wellness department. Develop staff education programs. Maintain current knowledge of nutrition research. Evaluate new supplement brands and wellness products. Develop customer education protocols. Create seasonal wellness campaigns. Support marketing with educational content. Coordinate community wellness events.
