Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Full Time Exempt Registered Dietitian Position Summary The Registered Dietitian provides clinical nutrition services for residents in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living while supporting wellness and nutrition education initiatives for Independent Living residents. This role promotes resident health, safety, and quality of life through evidence-based nutrition care, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans. Provide medical nutrition therapy, nutrition counseling, and education to residents, families, and staff. Monitor residents' nutritional status and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and resident rounds. Review and recommend therapeutic diets and diet modifications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Ensure menus meet nutritional standards and support resident needs across all levels of care. Support compliance with CMS, state, and organizational regulations and quality standards. Serve as a nutrition resource for residents, families, leadership, and care teams. Maintain professional licensure, credentialing, and continuing education requirements. Qualifications Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required. Minimum two years of experience preferred, with experience in long-term care, assisted living, or geriatric nutrition strongly preferred. Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Experience working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams preferred. Specialty certifications (e.g., CSG, CDCES) are a plus.
