Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Dietitian, Flex Time, and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through personalized nutrition care. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work primarily in outpatient services but also assist in continued development of a wellness program. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs, medical history, and lifestyle factors Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on weight management, disease management, and recovery support Provide expert nutrition counseling, including health coaching on topics such as weight loss, geriatrics, and chronic disease management Supervise and collaborate with dietary staff to ensure proper meal planning and tube feeding protocols are followed Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient progress, care plans, and diagnostic evaluations Educate patients on physiology-related topics and dietary strategies for long-term health maintenance Oversee the creation of specialized nutrition interventions for complex cases such as acute care or long-term care residents Requirements Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with current licensure or certification in your state or country Proven experience in outpatient setting, with counseling experience Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, dietetics principles, and diagnostic evaluation methods Skilled in health coaching techniques to motivate behavioral change and improve patient outcomes Familiarity with EMR systems (we use Healthie) for documentation and patient tracking Excellent patient assessment skills with an ability to tailor interventions for specific populations
