Job Description

Quincy Community Health Center Full Time $33.22 - $49.86 Per Hour Description The Registered Dietitian educates participants and ensures the quality of nutrition services for the Moses Lake Community Health Center WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program. Responsibilities Performs eligibility and appropriate certification or appointment for prospective and current WIC participants. Establishes and assists participants in managing personal high risk care plans. Prescribes and issues food benefits based on participant needs. Encourages and promotes breastfeeding per WIC program guidelines. Assists Director of Social Services in developing and implementing Nutrition Services Plan for MLCHC. Maintains appropriate nutrition education materials for WIC staff and participants. Consistently exhibits Moses Lake Community Health Center's Service Standards with patients and co-workers. Consistently contributes to a work environment that is supportive and values the contributions of everyone. Requirements Possesses advanced level general skills, including written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematical knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree program. Performance of the duties and responsibilities of the job requires the equivalent of formal training in Nutrition usually in the form of a major in Food Science Nutrition with Dietetics specialization as part of a Bachelor's Degree program. Valid Washington State Dietitian and Nutritionist license. Travel between work sites is required. Must have reliable transportation and provide documentation of auto insurance and valid driver's license as required.
