Job Description

Assistant Director of Nursing Chapel Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center Job Description Chapel Woods is looking for a compassionate, caring and dedicated person to help guide our nursing staff to a 5 star rating. Chapel Woods has a long-standing relationship with our community. We strive to provide the highest quality of healthcare services in the area. The ADON works closely with the Interdisciplinary Team to provide a homelike environment for our Residents.
Essential Functions:
  • Supervise nursing staff; ensure quality care is being provided; monitor staffing levels; schedule shifts; budgeting staffing resources; report to management on critical issues; monitor performance and provide feedback to management on issues (i.e., patient condition, safety, resident care)
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the nursing department; ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company policies/procedures
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new nursing staff
  • Assist in evaluating nursing staff's performance; assist in recruiting/hiring; ensure training of new nursing staff; ensure all new nursing staff are successfully completing training process; ensure all nurse-patient time records are up-to-date/complete
  • Assist in conducting performance appraisals for all positions; assist in conducting termination reviews for all positions
  • Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate will have:
  • 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • 2 years' experience caring for elderly or disabled adults.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations that pertain to long term care.
  • Familiarity with Medicare & Medicaid programs.
  • Familiarity with MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with LTC software.
  • Familiarity with Medicare & Medicaid programs.
