REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF NURSING- AMAZING TEAM AND SUPPORT!
!!! Insight Living one of the leaders in senior management is looking for an experienced leader for our Regional Director of Nursing position for our Arizona communities. Must have a drive to motivate your teams while building and championing the nursing culture. The ideal candidate will be located in Phoenix, Prescott. Prefer West Phoenix, but not required. Purpose:
The
REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF NURSING
(RDN) provides leadership, support and direction to Executive Directors/Nurses in each community within assigned region to insure delivery of quality care and resident-centered services in accordance with all laws and regulations. Reports to the owners of Insight Living. Great people!!!!! What will I be doing?: Participating in clinical community administrative staff interviews as requested community leaders Monitor/audit assigned communities for on-going compliance in State and Federal regulations and the application of accepted nursing standards of clinical practice. Provide and/or assist with the development and/or implementation of action plans based on trended survey data, plans of correction, and quality assurance reports. May establish appropriate policies, procedures and practices with nursing and administrative staff. Must have the ability to write accurate and quantifiable reports that will serve as clear action plans for communities and complete reports in a timely manner. Must be fiscally responsible with company and community finances and present accurate and validated expense reports, per company policy. Work with and make recommendations regarding ancillary providers and company vendors to ensure accurate, cost effective, and quality service. Analyze clinical data and provides suggestions for improved clinical outcomes. Assist in the training and education for clinical systems to improve resident care. Assist with the development of clinical education and training programs. Assist with company training and education programs. Provide appropriate nurse consulting services as needed in a crisis situation. Monitor/audit community for on-going compliance. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
Education and Experience:
Must have a valid unencumbered registered nursing license in AZ. Have a valid Administrator License in AZ preferred, or the ability to get the license later. Director of Nursing and Consulting experience preferred. Thorough understanding of all clinical State and Federal compliance areas. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation, and interaction with others. Must have the ability to respond quickly to internal challenges and devote time as needed when there is a community crisis or to assist with start up on new communities. Ability to develop training programs for Administrators and DONs. Ability to write clear quantifiable reports that will serve as clear action plans for communities. Must be highly articulate and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities and stay focused on prioritizing work. Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision. Ability to use good judgment and common sense in the performance of duties. Must be able to evaluate and respond to the needs of staff, clients, and others. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
