Job Description

Job Overview At Everest Hospice, we believe every patient deserves dignity, compassion, and exceptional care during life's most important moments. We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our dedicated hospice team. In this leadership role, you will work side-by-side with the Director of Professional Services to help lead clinical operations, support nursing staff, and ensure the highest quality of patient-centered hospice care. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who is passionate about end-of-life care, team collaboration, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and families. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Assist in overseeing daily clinical operations and ensure excellence in hospice patient care. Plan and/or lead Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) conferences, presenting patient cases and collaborating on care planning, re-evaluation, and updates to patient care plans. Audit medical records for accuracy, compliance, quality documentation, and appropriate patient care. Provide guidance and support related to symptom management and end-of-life care planning. Supervise the planning, coordination, and safe delivery of patient and family care services. Support, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing personnel to promote clinical excellence and professional growth. Conduct supervisory visits with patients and staff as appropriate. Promote a culture of compassion, teamwork, accountability, and patient advocacy. Ensure resident rights and patient dignity are upheld at all times. Maintain continuity of care and assist with operational leadership in the absence of the Director of Professional Services. Qualifications Active Arizona RN license required. Hospice or home health experience preferred. Current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required. Valid driver's license and auto insurance required. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong understanding of nursing administration, hospice regulations, and clinical operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support patients, families, and staff with empathy and professionalism. Proven ability to lead teams effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment. Passion for delivering exceptional, patient-centered end-of-life care. Why Join Everest Hospice?
