Welcome to Camp Lowell Surgery Center! At Camp Lowell Surgery Center, you're in caring hands from the moment you arrive. This accredited, state-licensed outpatient center features seven welcoming ORs and offers everything from eye and joint procedures to urology and ENT; all performed by experts dedicated to comfort and quality. Position Summary The Director of Nursing (DON) provides clinical leadership and oversight of nursing and patient care services within the ambulatory surgery center. This role ensures safe, high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient clinical operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing and clinical staff. Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure safe, efficient patient care. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and infection control standards. Develop and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and protocols. Monitor patient care quality, outcomes, and performance improvement initiatives. Manage staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and staff performance. Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and leadership to optimize patient care and workflow. Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and accreditation reviews. Ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to patient safety practices. Assist with clinical supply management and budgeting as needed. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center or perioperative setting. Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and ASC regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Work Environment Outpatient ambulatory surgery center setting. Collaborative team environment with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff.
