Full Job Description Job Overview:
Nursing Director We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join . As the DON you are responsible to assist in the management and directing of the Nursing Department per current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines that govern our facility, and as directed by the Administrator and Medical Director to obtain the highest degree of quality and maintain it at all times. As the Director of Nursing, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out the assigned duties. The DON works under the direction and is directly responsible to the Facility Administrator.
Responsibilities:
  • -Manages and directs all aspects of the Nursing Services Department.
  • Interprets CDPH report 2567 and writes Plans of Correction
  • Makes facility rounds and makes corrections
  • Communicates information to nursing personnel regarding new admissions and discharges and provides oversight of the admission and discharge process.
  • Reviews nursing personnel medical record documentation to ensure that it is appropriately and accurately descriptive of the nursing care provided.
  • Develops and maintains written nursing policies and procedures.
  • Resolves complaints and grievances made by and to nursing department personnel.
  • Makes sure facility's Policy Against Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation are fairly administered.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care provided.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff
  • Promotes resident rights and ensure a safe and comfortable environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
currently licensed as RN to practice in the California.
  • Demonstrated understanding and/or additional training in Infection Control Measures.
  • Proven ability to collect data and analyze data for trends. Experience with quality assurance is preferred.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with all Department Heads and all members of the Health Care Team.
