Full Job Description Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership:
Oversees all nursing care from pre-operative to post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintains compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, AAAHC, and state health regulations.
Staff Management:
Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling nursing staff and perioperative personnel.
Operations & Quality:
Monitors OR efficiency and leads quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
Budgeting:
Develops and manages clinical staffing and supply budgets to meet financial goals.
Safety & Supplies:
Ensures sterilization standards are met and oversees inventory control for equipment and drugs. SCA Careers +7
Clinical Leadership:
Supervise preoperative, OR, and PACU nursing staff.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with CMS, AAA-HC, and OSHA regulations.
Quality Improvement:
Oversee infection control, patient safety, and risk management.
Operations:
Manage staffing schedules, inventory, and vendor relationships.
Requirements and Qualifications Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required, with a Master's degree (MSN/MHA) often preferred.
Licensure:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Experience:
Previous experience in a surgical setting (OR/PACU) is essential, along with demonstrated supervisory experience, typically 3-5 years.
Skills:
Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
