Job Description

Our beautiful facility is currently seeking a Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will lead the Nursing and Care teams in our Skilled Nursing Facility. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting clinical assessments, overseeing the medication administration program, leading licensed nursing, and care teams, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Serving as the Director of Nursing and the liaison for residents, families, and staff, you'll tailor service plans to individual resident needs. Minimum Requirements:
Active CA RN license required Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Minimum two years nursing managerial experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), long-term care facility, or other related health care facility preferred. Must have, as a minimum, three years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility. Successful demonstration of exceptional organizational, communication, & customer service skills Ability to work flexible schedules in 24-hour operation including weekends as needed Typical Responsibilities Responsible for overall compliance of clinical services & programs including accuracy of medication administration Works collaboratively and facilitates communication with physician offices, ancillary services, responsible parties and internal care teams to deliver quality resident care Works efficiently to complete timely resident assessments and to develop and initiate the care and service plan Supports and assists in day-to-day care and clinical needs as needed Conducts interviewing and hiring, evaluates employee performance, provides coaching and employee training, and delegates assignments for all direct reports Additional Qualifications Service-oriented (positive, enthusiastic, empathetic and respectful demeanor). Able to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Capable of organizing tasks and managing multiple priorities. Current CPR certification. Must pass pre-employment background check and physical.
