This position will role model commitment to patient care, staff collaboration and customer service.
Pay Range:
$160,000 - $175,000/

Responsibilities:
Actively serves as a key member of the organization's core management team, ensure effective integration of nursing services into overall organization operations. Carries out the personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening and selection, orientation training and development, performance management, and employee relations functions. Supports the organization's mission, goals and objectives. Serves as the department's fiscal manager. Provides clinical supervision in psychiatric nursing care to nursing staff. Communicates with referral sources and family members in patients' interest. Participates in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring. Maintains effective working relationships with internal managers and corporate consultants in the in the interest of effective patient care and organization operations. Participates in training and development to enhance own professional skills and growth. Participates in activities which enhance professional growth and development. Demonstrates conduct in keeping with Aurora ethical standards. Complies with facility safety, infection control and security program. Initiates and implements Quality Improvement activities including audit coordination, incident reviews, system reviews, survey preparation, etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provides clinical supervision in psychiatric nursing care to nursing staff Leads, mentors, and manages Nursing Supervisors Requirements Current CA RN license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or in process of completing a BSN. Current American Heart Association BLS certification. Must complete Pro Act training. Must also be able to cope well with stress, have a strong sense of compassion and communicate well with others.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Advanced or thorough knowledge of psychiatric and general nursing care concepts and methodologies and demonstrated skill in their implementation; supervisory and basic personnel management skills; Skills in policy and procedure development and implementation; Basic teaching or training skills; skills in analysis, evaluation, and interpretation, organization, prioritization, and time management skills; Sound written and oral communication skills; Adaptability and flexibility; Track record as team player; clinical evaluation and intervention skills, including crisis management; Detail-oriented, balanced with ability to see whole clinical and organizational picture and make sound clinical and administrative judgments and decisions; Independence; Working knowledge of, and skills in maintaining therapeutic milieu; skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
