Park View Post-Acute is in need of someone as nuts as you to lead our clinical team as our Director of Nursing. Park View Post Acute Compensation Salary between $150,000-250,000 annually with significant monthly bonuses o I'll be honest, if you've got a great track record as a former DON, you'll make more than that. If you're a brand-new-but-full-of-potential-DON candidate, your salary will be on the lower end, but performance-based bonuses will give you great opportunities to make more than your rich cousin Billysue. Benefits Growth and Leadership Opportunities inside and outside of the facility Summary of Duties The Director of Nursing is responsible for ensuring the clinical outcomes for our patients is exceptional. The DON is in charge of leading the team of nurses, CNAs, and Doctors to provide the best possible experience for everyone involved in providing quality care. Great DONs work with the Facility Leadership team to set high standards and goals, teaches and guides a large team of LVNs and RNs, and communicates clearly, confidently, and calmly with patients and their loved ones. Track Record of Hiring and Developing Amazing DONs "I don't know if I want to be a DON forever". Yeah•we know you're crazy enough to take on such an intense job, but you're not completely insane. The DON job in a Skilled Nursing Facility isn't meant to be a 30 year career (although those people exist and they're lovely people, they're also maniacs. If your such a maniac, please give me a call and we'll talk). This is a high intensity job that will teach you more than any school has taught you. It will push you more than any coach or mentor has pushed you. When you step back after having taken on the job, you'll realize how much you've grown through your accomplishments. Park View's Last 3 DONs and what they're doing now? One has become a successful business owner in the long term care space•using knowledge, skills, and connections made on the job at Park View. Another owns and runs their own CNA school and is waiting on approval for a Nursing School Program. Another is a CEO of a large local non-profit organization within the healthcare space. Responsibilities:
Be a leader. Be THE Leader in the facility Uphold, encourage, and enforce quality compliant care in accordance with industry regulations Attract, teach, and retain other amazing nurses and nursing leaders Work alongside Medical Directors and Doctors to navigate top-tier patient care Make things better•use our Quality Assurance program to raise our standards Assist Administrator in ensuring financial stability for the facility, and generous pay ranges for the nursing staff Have a calming and proactive presence on the floor for nursing staff, patients, and loved ones. Qualifications Need to be crazy enough to take on this job. Active RN license•in good standing Open, honest, and vulnerable communicator Keep a cool head under pressure and be optimistic Leadership abilities and eagerness to make a difference
