Edgehill in Stamford, CT is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join & help lead our Skilled Nursing team! The successful candidate will be organized, have strong clinical skills, be able to multi-task, have excellent communication skills, and be able to handle a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESAssist the Director of Nursing to:
Develop, review, and revise standards, guidelines, forms and job descriptionsProvide and/or promote staff educational programs, monitor attendance and compliance with mandatory training as requiredParticipate in regularly scheduled management meetingsCoordinate the completion of the admission, discharge, and evaluation materials and process for all residents/patients. Ensure appropriate documentation including functional assessmentsEnsure that all resident/patient rights and responsibilities are protected and enforcedEstablish and maintain a close liaison with residents/patients and familiesPromote an environment that allows residents/patients to function as independently as possibleCollaborate with the Medical Director and other professional service providersCoordinate with appropriate department directors and supervisors for services provided to the residents/patientsMaintain all documentation required by state agencies and ensure compliance SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervises employees in the Health Center. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees. Educational Requirements and Experience:
