Job Description

Diagnostic Endoscopy Center is seeking a Center Administrator and Director of Nursing. The Center Administrator and Director of Nursing is responsible for working with AMSURG, clinical teams and staff to coordinate and direct clinical activities of the center according to its policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives. This position also includes oversight of front office operations, including the billing department, scheduling, and insurance verification. Works closely with the Governing Board and center staff in coordinating patient and staff service functions. Diagnostic Endoscopy, LLC opened in August 2001 when four Stamford physicians embarked on their vision to open a free-standing ambulatory health care facility specializing in colorectal cancer screening and the treatment of various diseases involving the digestive tract. Diagnostic Endoscopy Center is a State, Medicare and AAAHC accredited facility and is staffed by highly trained professionals with extensive experience in endoscopy procedures.
Education/Experience:
Current CT Nursing license Maintain BLS and ACLS Certification 2 or more years of management experience strongly preferred•Advanced Nursing Degree preferred•Previous experience in GI or Surgical setting preferred Knowledge of AAAHC or other ASC accreditation a plus !
Key Responsibilities:
Take charge of clinical area to ensure patient needs are met Promote professionalism, collegiality, and on-going staff training/development Maintain compliance with federal, state and accreditation agency requirements Oversee infection control program and environment of care Manage continuous quality improvement initiatives Counsels center personnel and makes recommendations for salary adjustments, promotions, and/or terminations Evaluates suggestions, grievances, and processes to identify opportunities to improve performance and quality of care Monitors and analyzes monthly operating reports (MOR) Promotes cost containment and efficient use of Center resources The Center Administrator and Director of Nursing will work Monday - Friday in a team-oriented environment.
