  • Full-time Job Summary The primary purpose of your position is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day function of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our Facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Duties Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration. Oversee education administration by developing and implementing training programs for nursing personnel. Educate staff on best practices in patient care, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance. Participate in budgeting processes to ensure efficient use of resources within the nursing department. Engage in strategic planning to enhance nursing services and improve patient outcomes. Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated care delivery and effective communication. Monitor quality assurance initiatives and implement corrective actions as needed. Experience A minimum of three years of experience in nursing with progressive leadership roles preferred. Proven track record in managing teams within a healthcare setting. Strong background in education administration, including curriculum development for nursing staff. Experience in budgeting and strategic planning within a healthcare environment is highly desirable. A degree from an accredited university in Nursing or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
