POSITION SUMMARY
ESI is seeking a Director of Nursing who is responsible for managing a team that coordinates, plans, leads, and controls and evaluates home health services offered and provided by the Agency as per policies and standards. QUALIFICATIONS
RN licensed in Florida with a minimum of 2 years home care experience and 1 year of supervisory experience as a RN Clear criminal background check Current CPR certification Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing Maintain a stressful and fast paced work environment Ability to travel by car or plane Proficient in telephone and computer communication Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, or lift during the entire shift Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, including small packages and supplies DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in and support the recruitment and placement of direct care staff based on their credentials, qualifications, licensure and training Support clients and care providers by providing clear communication regarding the mutual understanding of needs and requests Receive Inquiries from potential Clients and complete intake as appropriate Work with Administrator on policy formation, practice and goal achievement to remain in compliance with state and company policies and procedures Work with owners and Directors individually and in groups regarding clients, services, staff development, training programs and budgets to achieve best outcomes and meet company objectives Develop and maintain standards that ensure safe and effective services to clients and families including conducting ongoing quality assurance program Perform and provide assessments of client needs and develop Plans of Care in conjunction with client, family, and physician Participate in Agency meetings to collaborate and coordinate ongoing needs and responsibilities. Bring PR or coverage issues to the administrator immediately Perform and provide assessments of Care Provider's knowledge and abilities. Direct them in performance of their duties. Responsible for the clinical oversight and management of an assigned caseload of clients requiring skilled nursing and/or non-medical home care services. Maintains accountability for initial clinical assessments, ongoing reassessments, care plan development, and coordination of services for assigned clients. Expected to proactively manage client needs, identify changes in condition, and implement appropriate interventions to ensure continuity, safety, and quality of care. Responsible for the direct supervision, leadership, and clinical oversight of assigned field and/or internal nursing staff. Manages the performance, productivity, accountability, and clinical competency of nursing team members to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality client care delivery. Serves as the primary clinical resource and escalation point for nursing staff regarding patient care concerns, documentation, staffing challenges, and clinical decision-making. Ensure adequate staff coverage for department including orientation and On Call Prepare and deliver accurate reports to Administration as requested and appropriate Participate in selective conferences and workshops to promote knowledge in community health trends, efficiency in job performance and overall professional growth and promote staff development for the same. Assist in the evaluation of community needs and plan programs and services to meet identified needs. Foster community relations that are beneficial to the Agency by participating in consultations with physicians, hospitalists, case managers and the like. Any other duties as assigned.
