Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Skilled Nursing Are you an experienced RN leader in skilled nursing ready to step into a high-impact leadership role? We are conducting a confidential search for a strong Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical operations within a well-established skilled nursing facility in Florida. This role is ideal for an RN who understands survey readiness, staffing management, and clinical excellence — and is ready to partner closely with an engaged Director of Nursing.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Supporting oversight of daily clinical operations in a skilled nursing environment Assisting with survey preparation and regulatory compliance (AHCA/CMS) Managing staffing, scheduling, and clinical accountability Monitoring quality measures, audits, and risk management Coaching and developing Unit Managers and floor nurses Supporting infection control and QAPI initiatives Assisting with care plan oversight and interdisciplinary coordination
What We're Looking For:
Active Florida RN license Minimum 3+ years in skilled nursing (SNF/LTC required) Previous leadership experience (Unit Manager, ADON, Supervisor) Strong understanding of Florida survey process Experience with staffing management and clinical audits Hands-on leadership style — visible, supportive, and accountable

The ADON will support the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and the professional development of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing and supervising nursing staff and support personnel. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices. Monitor patient care for quality, safety, and effectiveness. Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. Provide leadership in staff training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
Qualifications:
Current RN license in the state of Florida. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
