Job Description

The School of Nursing at the University of West Florida (UWF), in Pensacola, Florida, invites applications for a 12-month, full-time position, as the Associate Director of the School or Nursing at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor tenure-earning or Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Practice, non-tenure earning. The salary for this in-person position will be commensurate with experience. This position is located on the Pensacola campus. The Associate Director of the School of Nursing provides operational and academic leadership in the areas of Academic Leadership, Faculty Development & Support, Strategic Planning & Administration, Accreditation and Compliance, and Student Affairs. This role supports the implementation of the School's strategic priorities by overseeing day-to-day academic operations, mentoring and supporting faculty, advancing quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards, and promoting student success. This role will also have an assigned teaching load up to 50% or .50 FTE.
Minimum Qualifications:
Earned doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited institution or a doctoral degree in health sciences, public health, healthcare education, or a closely related discipline and a masters or bachelors in nursing from an accredited institution, Holds an unencumbered, active Registered Nurse license, and is eligible for licensure in FL (or multi-state license), or Advance Practiced Registered Nurse license in Florida, Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in nursing education in higher education, Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in nursing education or healthcare.
