• Full-time Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Wellness to lead and elevate our comprehensive wellness department in our memory care community.

This important role requires a strong understanding of nursing practice, healthcare regulations, and management principles. The Director of Wellness will develop care plans, manage medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and AHCA regulation while fostering a collaborative environment amongst the wellness team. This position works with the community management team to ensure overall resident satisfaction. This is a memory care community with an ECC license. Duties Develop and maintains a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position, the department, and the personnel. Develop and implements active wellness program for residents, working with the Life Engagement Director. Communicates with the medical community as necessary on residents behalf. Accepts physician's orders, transcribes and follows through to ensure orders are carried out. Reviews physicians orders and medication administration forms to ensure they are correct and accurate monthly. Maintains resident files in an orderly manner and documents all pertinent information regarding residents. Orders supplies and maintains expenses within budget limits. Prepares resident charges and reports to Director for approval and billing. Recommends areas of improvement and establishes policies according to acceptable nursing practices and all state and federal regulations. Attends or completes a minimum of 12 hours of annual training on topics relevant to the community's resident population. Provides hands on care when needed. Investigates all resident and family complaints or concerns regarding the nursing department and reports findings to the director. Acts to ensure problems are resolved. Maintains contact with residents/families when they are in the hospital or nursing home on a temporary basis and keeps informed of their condition through the community medical team. Performs other duties as assigned. Foster a positive environment that promotes resident engagement in wellness activities. Qualifications LPN license required; experience in assisted living or similar settings preferred. Proven experience in supervising healthcare staff and managing wellness programs. Strong knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and care practices. Familiarity with AHCA guidelines and HIPAA regulations essential. Excellent organizational skills with experience in budgeting and resource allocation. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members. Experience in case management is a plus, demonstrating an ability to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
