Examples of Duties Performed:

Direct the overall operation of the Skilled Nursing Services Department to centers on an as-needed/temporary basis in accordance with the organization's established guidelines and current federal and state regulations to provide appropriate care. Direct, evaluate, and supervise patient care as necessary. Educate, lead, mentor, and supervise department associates. Communicate with patients, associates, visitors and family members in an approachable and professional manner. To be considered for this opportunity applicants must: Have a nursing degree from an accredited college or university and a current Georgia RN license in good standing. Have prior DON experience in a long-term care setting. Nurse consulting experience in long term care preferred. Must be able to travel throughout state as needed for Interim DON assignments. Frequent overnight stays may be required. Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Maintain effective working relationships with residents, family members, department heads and fellow staff.
