Job Description

Assistant Director of Nursing Full Time - Sunday through Thursday Starting salary $70,000 per year; negotiable based on prior relevant experience The Plaza Assisted Living is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), who is caring and dedicated. You will be responsible for the sound operations of the nursing department and the care staff, ensuring the highest level of quality care and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, a results oriented team leader with superior communication skills and a rehabilitation focus. You will be responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing and Administrator in the operations of the resident care department; assist with training and supervision of new resident care staff, conduct regular on-going staff meetings and in-services as requested. Ensures each resident receives services/care as assigned in the Resident Service Plan and in accordance with federal and state regulations and community policies and procedures. Helps to facilitate communication within the department as well as with other departments and Administration. In the absences of the Director of Nursing, will assure prompt, appropriate action in cases of injury, illness, fire or other emergencies; conducts initial resident assessments and participates in resident service plan/care conferences as needed. Ultimately responsible for ensuring care department compliance with state and federal laws and community policies and procedures.
