In-House Traveling Director of Nursing (DON, DNS) role for SNF in IA

Highly regarded n ot-for-profit provider of Skilled Nursing Facilities in Iowa seeks an experienced RN Director of Nursing who is eager for variety and travel as their new Traveling Director of Nursing . DON candidates should have stable tenure in their previous jobs and have a solid track record of success in care outcomes, survey results, staff retention and resident satisfaction. Candidates who have already held multi-site responsibilities will be highly desired! Travel is a regular part of the job responsibility, covering the state of Iowa, and the company will provide a vehicle plus company credit card for travel expenses. Any candidate MUST have a valid Iowa Drivers License for consideration. Depending on your home base location, there will be overnight stays at times. Responsibilities will focus on standing in for absent DONs while they go on leave, vacation, FMLA, etc. or while the job is vacant and interviews are underway seeking a permanent replacement. This includes being in the On-Call rotation while youre there. Strong expertise in State and Federal SNF regulations are essential for success! Friendly and approachable leadership style will make it easier for teams to adapt to your arrival when you cover their building. This provider has an excellent reputation! Ideal candidates will enjoy : Strong pay in the $112K to $143K range, with the top end being reserved for experienced RN leaders with strong track records of success in Survey, and ideally with previous multi-site experience.
