Director of Nursing

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care across our healthcare facilities. Duties Lead and supervise nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct caregivers, ensuring high-quality resident care and adherence to care plans. Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Manage compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare requirements, and state licensing standards. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery across assisted living, nursing home, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings. Oversee medical records management, documentation review, and accurate record-keeping using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Monitor shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels while optimizing operational efficiency. Conduct regular audits of medical documentation, review resident's ; and ensure timely updates to care plans. Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on resident safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. Facilitate ongoing staff training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and documentation standards. Maintain a positive work environment that promotes leadership development and supervising experience among team members. Skills Extensive knowledge of supportive living facilities and dementia care. Proven experience in nursing management with strong supervising capabilities and nurse management expertise. Proficiency in EMR systems and EHR systems for accurate documentation review and medical records management. Deep understanding of physiology and anatomy to support clinical decision-making and resident assessments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while managing shift schedules effectively. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with residents' ;, families, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to safeguard resident privacy and confidentiality. Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately to support clinical documentation and care planning.
