Nursing Full Job Description About Montgomery Place:
The premiere senior living community overlooking Lake Michigan and the Museum of Science and Industry, Montgomery Place serves as the cultural center of East Hyde Park.

Offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, as well as a 40-bed Skilled Nursing Unit providing Long-term Care and Short-term, sub-acute rehab services.
Position Summary:
The Director of Nursing is the team leader of the Nursing Department for Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living, responsible for the development, approval, implementation and evaluation of an appropriate system of nursing care delivery. In addition, the Director of Nursing handles regulatory compliance, staffing, budgeting, Medicare reimbursement and the overall administration of the Nursing Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Overall responsibilities Develop, approve and administer department staffing and participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff; oversee performance of nursing staff; maintain a person centered care environment Ensure that employees are adequately oriented and trained to perform their duties and oversee the orientation program (set up by in service coordinator) Develop and implement department organizational structure, and evaluate the quality assurance programs Meet with department heads to problem solve specific needs for individual residents or facility problems Monitor all city, state and federal guidelines that pertain to the medical staff, documentation and procedures of a long-term care facility. Provide information to inspectors or surveyors and accompanies them on their rounds as necessary Review and examine nursing hours and overtime at the end of a pay period Oversee the Care Plan process to ensure compliance Oversee the psychotropic medication program Oversee compliance with the OBRA , Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and federal regulations regarding psychotropic medications and restraint reductions Oversee development and implementation of restorative programs to meet OBRA standards Oversee Medical Records to ensure that all documentation falls within all state and federal guidelines and utilizes the Electronic Medical Records process Oversee Medicare utilization for proper charting and standards that need to be provided according to intermediary carrier Oversee Medicare rates of reimbursement through the MDS process Approve and interpret various reports and statistics to determine effectiveness of programs and procedures Pay range: $105k - 125k annual salary based on experience and qualifications Benefits may include depending on full or part-time status: Access to health, dental and vision benefits 401k retirement plan with company match Education Assistance Program Company paid life insurance Access to other benefits like Short Term Disability and Accident coverage Generous paid time off General Responsibilities Adhere to the policies and procedures of the business with the highest practical standards Participate in and maintain current status on all training and education required by the company Communicate effectively with all members of the staff and business partners Provide feedback to others for continuous quality improvement of the entire organization Openly accept feedback from others for the continuous quality improvement of the entire organization Escalate issues when there is appearance that business standards of quality are not present Comply with all rules and regulations of the organization, including HIPAA and safety Perform other duties as assigned
