Job Description

Director of Nursing (DON) | Chicago / Oak Park area Our skilled nursing facility, is committed to providing exceptional care while creating a supportive environment for both our residents and our team members. We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team and help us continue delivering the highest standards of care. If you are a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring staff, driving clinical excellence, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of residents, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Lead, support, and develop our nursing team, fostering a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and compassion. Ensure our residents receive high-quality, resident-centered care that promotes dignity, comfort, and overall well-being. Oversee daily nursing operations while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, providing guidance, education, and support to nursing staff. Build strong relationships with residents and their families, ensuring open communication and exceptional customer service. Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental performance to support efficient care delivery. Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness at all times. What We're Looking For Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license. 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and clinical operations. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop nursing teams. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A genuine passion for resident care and creating a positive workplace culture.
