Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)•
Home Health Location:
Des Plaines, IL Position Type:
Full-Time |
Onsite Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM•5:00
PM Salary Range:
$95,000•$100,000 annually (based on experience) Key Responsibilities Oversee the delivery of clinical services to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance Supervise and coordinate nursing and therapy staff to meet patient care goals Provide daily oversight of intake and scheduling functions to maintain service standards Review clinical documentation, patient histories, diagnoses, and care plans for accuracy and compliance Assist with patient admissions, recertifications, and discharge coordination Support onboarding, training, and development of newly hired nurses and therapists Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) activities and ensure readiness for regulatory surveys Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes Conduct patient visits in the field as needed when clinical coverage is limited Provide on-call support primarily via phone to patients, families, and physicians Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 5 years of Home Health experience (required) Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience Experience with Quality Assurance (QA) and staff training Experience participating in or preparing for IDPH and/or Joint Commission (JACHO) surveys Strong knowledge of home health regulations, compliance, and clinical best practices Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work full-time onsite Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN) Experience with WellSky/Kinnser or similar EMR systems Experience in staff orientation, competency validation, and clinical training Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $95,000•$100,000 annually Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Life insurance Referral program If you are a dedicated nursing leader looking to make a meaningful impact in a growing organization, we encourage you to apply today.
