Director of Nursing (DON)
  • Skilled Nursing / Long Term Care (SNF/LTC) Bloomington, IL Full-Time | Day Shift | On-Call Responsibility $95,000

  • Immediate Opportunity Overview A well-established Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) near Bloomington, IL is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations and drive quality outcomes in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a strong nurse leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is focused on compliance, team development, and clinical excellence. Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities Lead all nursing operations within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / Long Term Care (LTC) environment Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, state guidelines, and survey standards Maintain survey readiness, participate in state surveys, and implement plans of correction Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing leadership and clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) Drive quality measures, infection control initiatives, and clinical outcomes Oversee staffing, scheduling, and labor management to ensure appropriate coverage Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to support resident care Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Illinois or compact eligible) 3+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Strong knowledge of Long Term Care (LTC), CMS regulations, and survey process Proven ability to improve clinical outcomes, staff retention, and survey performance Hands-on leadership style with strong communication and team-building skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $95,000
