Up to $100,000 per year, based on experience About the Position A confidential long-term care facility located near Oak Park, Illinois is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department and ensure the highest quality of resident care. The DON will oversee daily nursing operations, maintain regulatory compliance, support clinical staff, and promote a positive resident-centered care environment. Responsibilities The Director of Nursing will: Oversee all nursing services and clinical operations. Ensure compliance with state, federal, CMS, and facility regulations. Supervise, train, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Monitor resident care plans, documentation, and clinical outcomes. Work closely with the Administrator and department heads. Assist with surveys, audits, QAPI, infection control, and staffing needs. Promote a professional, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Maintain appropriate staffing levels and ensure quality resident care. Qualifications Current RN license in good standing. Prior nursing leadership experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred. Strong knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey process. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage staff, solve problems, and support facility operations. DON or ADON experience preferred.
