Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Experienced Director of Nursing (D.O.N) to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care across various settings. The D.O.N will oversee nursing operations, manage staff supervision, and uphold compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is vital in maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence while fostering a positive, collaborative work environment. Duties Provide leadership and oversight for nursing staff across all care programs, including assisted living, home health, hospice care, and nursing homes. Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to each resident's needs, ensuring compliance with federal Medicare and state regulations. Supervise nurse management activities, including shift management, documentation review, and medical records maintenance using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Oversee the training and supervision of nursing staff in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and nursing best practices. Monitor quality assurance processes through regular review of medical records, documentation accuracy, and care plan effectiveness. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident care outcomes while managing staffing schedules efficiently. Skills Extensive experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies or hospice care environments. Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in nursing management or administration roles. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for medical records management and compliance tracking. Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations and Medicare requirements related to long-term care services. Excellent shift management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively. Demonstrated ability to develop care plans tailored to individual residents' needs while ensuring regulatory compliance.
