We are a mission-driven organization committed to clinical excellence, operational discipline, and treating every patient with dignity and respect. We are seeking a strong, hands-on Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department, develop our team, and ensure exceptional patient care across all levels of service. Position Summary The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and quality of the nursing department. This individual will oversee nursing operations, develop and support nursing staff, maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, and ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who is engaged, accountable, and committed to building a culture of excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead all nursing operations across detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff while establishing clear expectations and accountability Maintain a strong presence within the program and remain actively engaged with staff and patient care operations Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and continuously monitor quality outcomes Oversee nursing schedules, staffing levels, onboarding, training, and performance management Ensure compliance with all nursing policies, medication management standards, ASAM criteria, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, DMHA requirements, and other applicable regulations Collaborate closely with medical, clinical, and operational leadership teams Oversee detoxification and withdrawal management services and ensure appropriate clinical monitoring Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous quality improvement efforts Support organizational growth by maintaining efficient patient flow and strong clinical operations Prepare for and participate in regulatory surveys, audits, and accreditation activities Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Indiana Nursing leadership experience with responsibility for supervising and developing clinical staff Experience in substance use disorder treatment and familiarity with ASAM criteria Detoxification and withdrawal management experience Strong understanding of behavioral health regulations, nursing compliance, and quality assurance processes Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications BSN or higher Previous Director of Nursing or comparable nursing leadership experience Experience in a CARF- or Joint Commission-accredited organization Experience leading nursing operations across multiple levels of care Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience, benefits package, paid time off, and the opportunity to play a key leadership role in a growing organization dedicated to changing lives.
