Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to support the leadership team in delivering high-quality resident care within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, management, and healthcare operations, with a focus on fostering a compassionate environment for residents. As an integral part of our management team, you will oversee nursing services, supervise staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote excellence in resident care delivery. Duties Assist in managing daily nursing operations across various departments, including assisted living, nursing home, home health, and hospice care settings. Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure adherence to care plans, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements. Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans tailored to residents' needs, utilizing knowledge of physiology and anatomy. Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate resident-centered care and optimize outcomes. Manage staffing schedules and shift assignments to ensure adequate coverage while maintaining high standards of patient safety. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for documentation review, data entry, and reporting purposes. Support nursing administration in quality assurance initiatives related to MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and Medicare requirements. Promote a culture of leadership, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the nursing department. Qualifications Valid RN license with current registration; prior experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated supervisory or supervising experience in healthcare environments involving nurse management or nursing administration. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation review processes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for resident documentation and care coordination. Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality protocols related to medical records. Experience working with care plans, Medicare guidelines, and regulatory compliance standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment. Knowledge of hospice care principles, home health practices, acute care procedures, and resident's (personal needs). Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in shift management and documentation accuracy.
