Overview Heritage Health Care is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing operations and uphold our commitment to excellence in patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive management experience, and a background in education administration within healthcare settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence clinical practices, foster team development, and ensure the delivery of superior nursing services across our facilities. Duties Provide strategic oversight of nursing services to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Develop and implement policies that promote high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff to foster a collaborative and motivated team environment. Oversee budgeting processes related to nursing departments, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Facilitate ongoing staff education and training programs to maintain clinical excellence and professional growth. Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction and safety. Promote a culture of compassion, integrity, and continuous improvement aligned with organizational values. Qualifications Proven leadership experience in nursing management within skilled nursing or senior care environments. Strong background in strategic planning, budgeting, and management principles. Experience in education administration or teaching within healthcare settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively while fostering professional development. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality assurance practices. University experience or academic involvement related to nursing or healthcare education is an advantage. Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire staff and engage residents' families effectively.
