Job Description

Director of Nursing leading nursing operations for a 13‑week travel assignment at a long‑term care facility in Garden City, Kansas. Oversees nursing care and staff leadership, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, meeting physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Lead and supervise the nursing team, fostering collaboration and compliance. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Coordinate with medical staff and families to develop and implement individualized care plans. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Valid RN license in Kansas BLS certification Healthcare Provider CPR certification Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in long‑term care Familiarity with LTC regulatory standards Strong communication skills Ability to lead and manage a team Flexibility with schedule Physical capability to manage a healthcare setting Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Preferred Skills:
ACLS certification (preferred) Prior leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)
