JOB SUMMARY
The Graduate Program Track Director provides innovative leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating graduate nursing programs. This role supports the School of Nursing in delivering high-quality academic programs and advancing the use of health information technology and online learning to achieve national prominence.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Administration:
Provide leadership in the development and ongoing improvement of post-licensure and graduate nursing programs. Develop and implement systems for recruitment, advisement, orientation, and matriculation of graduate students. Collaborate with the Chairperson to plan and manage teaching workload responsibilities. Provide regular consultation to the Chairperson regarding program strengths, weaknesses, enrollment, and student/faculty concerns. Recruit, interview, and recommend faculty and staff candidates. Evaluate faculty and support staff performance. Coordinate visits for prospective students and faculty applicants. Participate in admissions decisions and finalize incoming classes in collaboration with faculty and leadership. Manage graduate student leave requests, petitions, and grievances in accordance with policy. Lead curriculum development, revision, and innovation. Oversee comprehensive exams and capstone experiences. Ensure accuracy of program materials and communications. Recommend candidates for graduation. Propose new graduate programs and certificates. Coordinate outreach and graduate education initiatives. Prepare grant proposals to support program development. Ensure collection and analysis of program evaluation and assessment data. Maintain systematic evaluation plans supporting student and program outcomes. Participate in School of Nursing operations, planning, and fiscal management. Prepare reports and maintain program records. Serve as a mentor and role model to faculty. Assume leadership responsibilities in the Chairperson s absence as needed.

Participate in teaching consistent with the mission of the School of Nursing & Health Sciences.
Research/Scholarship:
Engage in research and scholarly activities. Foster a climate of scholarship and academic inquiry.
Service:
Serve as a resource to faculty and students. Participate in professional, college, and university service activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to lead, direct, and collaborate effectively with faculty, students, and stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated expertise in graduate-level teaching and curriculum development. Effective cross-cultural communication and multicultural competence.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not have supervisor responsibility
OTHER DUTIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with eligibility for academic appointment at the rank of associate professor or professor and a minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching in a graduate nursing program. Experience in academic administration, accreditation, and fiscal and personnel management required.
Licensing and Certifications:
Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse and APRN in Kentucky. National certification in area of advanced specialization.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to sit for extended periods and perform work at a workstation. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. Normal mobility and physical endurance for routine academic and administrative activities. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
