Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee the daily operations of the Nursing Department within a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, can effectively manage nursing staff, and is committed to maintaining exceptional standards of patient care and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Department Ensure nursing services are delivered in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and company policies Maintain the highest standards of quality resident care and clinical outcomes Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff including hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management Collaborate closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to support facility goals and resident needs Monitor compliance, infection control practices, clinical documentation, and quality assurance initiatives Oversee staffing levels and ensure adequate clinical coverage at all times Promote a positive and professional work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care Participate in surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections as needed Address resident, family, and staff concerns in a timely and professional manner Qualifications Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts Previous leadership experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred Strong understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations Proven ability to lead teams, manage clinical operations, and maintain compliance standards Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing healthcare environment Preferred Experience Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience preferred Experience with survey preparedness and quality improvement initiatives Strong background in staff development and team leadership Compensation $70- $80/hr - based on experience and skill set Benefits This is a temporary to permanent assignment.
