This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, standards of practice, and organizational policies while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Director serves as a key clinical advisor to the Administrator/CEO and may assume administrative responsibilities in their absence. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all clinical services to ensure regulatory compliance and quality outcomes Develop, implement, and revise clinical policies and procedures Establish departmental goals, performance metrics, and improvement strategies Facilitate and lead the Process Improvement Committee Collaborate with interdisciplinary leaders to coordinate resident care Supervise, mentor, and develop clinical service staff Oversee recruitment, hiring, retention, and performance evaluations Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet regulatory and care standards Monitor clinical outcomes and initiate timely corrective actions Manage the clinical services budget in collaboration with executive leadership Address staff, resident, and family concerns professionally and proactively Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and resident rights Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine (required) Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 3-5 years of RN experience , preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations and standards of practice Commitment to process improvement and evidence-based practice Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Current CPR certification Work Environment & Physical Requirements Clinical and administrative setting with moderate activity level May require standing, walking, stooping, lifting up to 35 lbs., and use of PPE Exposure to typical healthcare environmental conditions, including infectious diseases Our Commitment St. André Health Care is committed to providing an environment where residents, families, and staff are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect .
