The Director of Nursing position admits, assesses, implements plan of care, and nursing care in collaboration with a medical director, chaplain, home health aide, and social worker. Must be able to document Nursing visits, all patient care, and care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary group of Hospice are important elements of hospice care. This position requires utilizing judgment, nursing skills, and evaluated care for patients. Must have Hopsice care experience.

Modern office setting We are looking for a Director of Nursing to join our dynamic team and oversee the daily operations of a Hospice Agency. The successful candidate will have years of experience working in geriatrics, home health and/or critical and intensive care environments, as well as expertise in palliative care. Must have an understanding of the continual changes in HIPAA regulations, be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Lead the residents of the Hospice Agency in non-physical activity that provides mental stimulation. Work with the rest of the leadership team to run the facility in a safe and efficient manner. Assess patients and ensure they are as comfortable as possible. Manage each nurse's work load to ensure they have enough time to complete their work. Oversee the distribution of medications to patients.
