We are seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing for our Northville community.
Responsibilities:
Plan and direct all day-to-day functions of Assisted Living and Memory Care units in accordance with applicable community, federal, state, and local standards to ensure the highest degree of quality care is provided residents. Represents Assisted Living and Memory Care units both internally and to the public including governmental agencies, third party payers, and the general population. Works collaboratively with department managers concerning level of care transitions and general communication as well as all other interactions that promote an efficient and effective overall community operation. Assists with the development and administration of the Assisted Living and Memory Care unit's overall budget process to ensure accurate forecasting of expenses and cost control. Ensures adequate financial records and reports are prepared and submitted to administration, as required. Makes certain that an adequate number of appropriately trained professional and auxiliary staff are on duty at all times to meet the needs of the residents. Maintains an excellent working relationship with the local medical profession and other health related organizations through formal working and transfer agreements. Supervises Assisted Living and Memory Care employees including coordinating and approving time off, conducting performance evaluations, counseling, and directing and managing department workflow. Manages people effectively by taking responsibility for subordinates' activities; Makes his or herself available to staff; Provides regular performance feedback; Develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth; Improves processes, products and services. Provides leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others; Inspires and motivates others to perform well.
Educational/Experience:
Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Nursing, Healthcare or related field Previous experience in supervising at a Senior Living community in Assisted Living/Memory Care Must be licensed as an LPN in the
