Job Title:
Assistant Director of Nursing Job Description As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing nursing care in an assisted living facility. You will support the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing staff and ensuring top-quality care for residents. This position requires a strategic approach to managing the growing complexities and demands of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and contributing to the development of occupancy growth and staffing plans. Responsibilities Supervise and oversee the nursing care provided in the assisted living facility. Support the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing staff and daily operations. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations concerning healthcare. Contribute to the development of occupancy growth and staffing plans. Handle complex and demanding situations effectively. Enhance processes and support ongoing changes in the department. Essential Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing. Current MN RN License. 5+ years of nursing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in long-term care and familiarity with Minnesota healthcare regulations. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing, Business, or a health-related field preferred. Proficiency in staff education and scheduling. Knowledge of quality assurance and technological support. Work Environment This position is based in an assisted living/long-term care environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, first shift, totaling 40 hours per week. The role involves working in a dynamic environment, with opportunities for career growth once you are part of the team. The facility is recognized for its top-ranked healthcare services and specialties. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $105.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
